Brasso Seco has lots of unique animal life, including some of the most fascinating birds in the world. Due to such biodiversity in the region, there is a bird sanctuary and research center within a half hour drive of the estate that has been hosting world class researchers for nearly a century. Brasso is home to 8 water falls and 3 rivers. All of which exit into the Caribbean Sea on incredible beaches along the north coast.
This stretch of coastline is really special because there are no roads, therefore the purity of nature is very real and prominent. Many of these beaches are amazing camp sites, and are also home to many nesting turtles. One can often see large mothers coming to prepare their nest, lay eggs, and if your lucky you can see the hundreds of hatchlings crawling out of the sand as they navigate to start their long and dangerous life at sea.
