Area: Bangalore. Fame Shankarnag Chitramandira Show Timing. Showtime for this theatre is not currently available. Lavanya Theatre Plot No. Sri Balaji Theatre No. Poornima Theatre No, J. C Road,1st Cross,Bengaluru,Karnataka - Average user rating 3. Rating breakdown 5. Bn Manjunath. A really nice place A very old theatre and now renovated Love to be in this place..
Really make us close to shankaranna in this place.. The sukh sugar in the same complex makes it nice. Subham Agarwal. Seats are uncomfortable. Sound abd picture quality is poor. After half hour they manage back up and movie start, but I was not in mood to watch it. May 02, PM , Views. Avoid this pathetic theater. Got bit my bed bugs. Well, I was very regular to fame shankernag.
Being a college student this theater was pocket friendly so almost every week, me along with my friends used to go to this theater. Today, I went to for avengers: age of ultron. In the first half, me and my friend started noticing some bad itch on our hands. He however, offered us seats on gold class which we refused. I for sure am never going to this theater anymore.
This incident happened on 2nd May Dec 01, PM , Views. Black mark on Name Of Fame Cinemas. Waste of money. We went for a night show for a movie running housefull. After waiting for 30 minutes, we finally had to leave without seeing the climax.
Too much advertisements, shows never start on time. Datti Bengalooru datti. Apr 21, PM , Views. Please avoid at any cost. Fame Shankarnag is probably one of the worst threaters in an upmarket area like MG Road. To start with, the parking is unsafe, dingy and smelly. The way out of the parking enters the shopping complex but what hits you is a bad stench emanating out of the public toilet.
The lift is pathetic. The lounge looks good but is crammed. The snacks counter is pathetic with max 3 snacks at a time. The carpets, chairs etc are extremely filthy. Absolutely zero value for money and a great evening wasted. A humble request to the management of Fame - Shri Shankar Nag, who gave the world Malgudi days is a synonym for quality entertainment. Please do not degrade a noble soul like Shri Shankar Nag by using his name to promote this absolutely pathetic theater.
Jill Matthew jima. Jan 11, AM , Views. A movie at Fame Shankarnag Chitramandira - Bangalo. I went to this movie hall with lots of expectations.
This was my first visit to here after it is upgraded to multiplex standards can we call it a multiplex? The only change what we notice in this upgradation is the change of seats and ticket prices.
Frankly speaking, I am very much disappointed with the theatre. The screen is too small may be the wall behind it is too big. So we will feel just like watching a movie in a B or C class theatre.
If you are sitting on the side, unfortunately I got the seat there: you will have to turn 30 degree left or right, depending on your seat, to watch the screen. The Exit lights were as bright as a V bulb. The lights were hitting directly on my eyes. I had to cover my right eyes from the light using one hand, turn a little left to watch the screen, and then "ENJOY" is it what we call enjoying?
The crowd was too much and I could not find any security thereto maintain that. Oh yes, I saw two security persons there to watch the people who pass through the metal detector. The automated ticket machine was not functioning. Only two counters were active for the releasing show of the most anticipated movie of the year No separate counter for claiming tickets booked online.
We have to be in the same queue with those who want to take tickets from counter for same day or the coming days.
A good thing is that you have a good snacks bar and a small restaurant in the same campus. Venkata Krishna Prasad Kollapaneni kvkrishnaprasad. Jan 08, AM , Views. Never watch 3D here. We went before for a normal movie and we enjoyed it. This time for Avatar, we have very high expectations of the experience. The 3D specs are very poor quality and are giving headache. The specs are adding black shade and making the screen very bad. I am going to watch Avatar on my desktop sometime later.
Also planning to see on Inox and compare. I will not be coming to Fame again! Nice clarity and excellent experience. I decided to see 3D in Fame only.
Else see 2D only. Dec 24, PM , Views. Go there if you want neck pain. Four of us went to Fame Shankarnag Chintramandira for avatar with big expectations as it is supposed to be a path breaking movie and our first 3D movie in a long long time with great expectations.
But had a horrible experience because of the theatre. The seats were unconfortable, the sceen was too high from the ground. We got neck pain after watching the movie for half an hour. The 3D glasses they gave was of very poor quality. It was so unconfortable to wear. My friend told me that the glasses given in Urvashi theatre was very good and comfortable to wear. Poor maintenance and theatre was not clean. It is supposed to be a new theatre but two of the of the seats that we sat were already broken.
Though cheaper than multiplexes no value for money. Shankarnag Chitramandira on MG Road, which is named after the late Kannada actor-director Shankar Nag, is reopening after it was shut down two years ago. Since then BBMP has been trying to find another exhibitor. Earlier the Shankarnag Chitramandira was leased to INOX and now after the gap of two years in the third tender, the theatre is leased out to the Swagath Group.
On Thursday, the renovated theatre was unveiled by popular composer and musician A R Rahman.
