Check out a CookOut menu. We would go there after church or just whenever. It would be awesome to have a cafeteria-like place open up like that or Perkins. At the same time, I am so excited for this!
Betty, it will change your life! Cookout is way more than just burgers. Great restaurant, it will do very well, particularly among the late night and college scenes.
Cookout is a great place! But I second the motion that the cafeterias were great and should return! Check out their menu. There is one in Ashland and one in Richmond. Anytime I am heading south on 95 I make sure to stop by.

They did forget one thing off my order. But I mostly disappointed in the fact of it being new and there wasn't anywhere for me to change my daughter. I had to sit on the toilet and put her across my lap.
Usually very good service and food. However, I ordered a banana split milkshake with no nuts and received extra nuts. Thankfully I'm just picky and not allergic. That would have been a long night in the hospital. I love cook out, they always have good cheap food!! But the speaker in the drive through about burst my ear though and the woman in the window was not very professional.
She cracked me up though. Great food but staff is not real great, both times ive been to this location staff was not friendly and seem aggravated to even take my order. Bathrooms were very dirty and smelled awful. The best things about this place:-The prices very good value.
I'd take it over Mickey D's or BK any day. If you haven't been here, I highly recommend you try them! BY FAR! And it was all wrong. Chicken was old friends didn't have cheese nor Cajun and they gave me chicken instead of cheese.
Be nice to get re order. Food was quick and hot. Absolutely love the White Cheddar Bites. I have picky eater kids and they enjoyed the hotdog and chiken nuggets. The grilled chicken sandwich reminded me of a summer BBQ so I'm pleased. We waited 32 minutes in the drive thru and had to ask the cars behind us to back up so we could go back to work.
Maybe they should hire some staff to operate the drive thru window or just close completely if they can't get people in and out in 5 minutes. It's called a drive thru for a reason. I've always loved Cookout but this was the worst visit I've ever had there. They had no problem taking my money but then didn't even bother to make half my order and after 20 mins The inside atmosphere is always nice. It's always as if your being screamed at and they never listen. I always have to repeat myself multiple times because they do not take the time to listen.
Always make it a point to stop in at Cook Out in Harrisonburg! Quick service, great food, and even better prices! Excellent for a fast food place. Great taste, lots of options, quick service and best milk shakes! Burger was black. Edit: included picture. The cashier clearly had an attitude as well. Seems like Cookout's hiring has gone downhill, i miss your old crew who actually cared about their job. Not enough food and was plain, and food was done up as li m. There are a generous amount of milk shakes you can choose from.
The quesadilla and chicken wrap are good. I was expecting a down-home alternative to the fast food joints like McDonald's and Burger King. It was even situated next door to a Wendy's. While it definitely tasted better than those two standbys, it wasn't anything to write home about. I order their Grilled Chicken Sandwich. It's a Wonderful Sandwich and Tastes just Right. Delicious Milkshakes!! Great Ice Tea!! They make their own Ice so No Worries!! Cookout is a good college eat.
They have the "good ice! It always has a good vibe and they play christian music. Your food comes out quick and they have southern sweet tea. I'm not super into the rest of the menu to be honest but it's a good place for fast food. Most people like their burgers. This place is actually pretty good especially for as much food as you get as cheap as you do the only thing I did not like about it is the freid food is Grease logged.
Just stopped in after not having it for four years. Goodness, the amount of food you get on a dime. Bathrooms needed some serious love though. No TP was in the women's said wife , soap dispenser was broken and spilling all over the men's.
Urinal was pretty much in front of the door. It was a surprise to find a Cookout near the mountains in Virgina. It is known for its thick creamy premium milkshakes, which are better eaten with a spoon, and incredible hamburgers and barbeque.
You can measure how good a place is when workers from the competition next door were getting their food at the Cookout and going back to Wendys.
